I started dis-assembling my Farmall Super C this weekend in order to get the seized engine off of it.

I decided to take the front wheels off first, and seperated the steering linkage at the forward U-joint.
I took the U-joint apart by removing 2 of the bearing end caps. They were kind of stuck on there, so the end caps are damaged now and will need to be replaced.

Does anyone know where I can find these parts ?

If you have a Case/IH sealer near, I'm sure they can fix you up.

As for removing the front steering u-joint, it is not necessary to take the u-joint apart. If you rotate the steering shaft, you will see a pin, approx. 1/8" or 5/32" going through the front half of the u-joint yoke. It may have been peened over, or somewhat flattened to keep it in. Take a pin punch, and drive that pin out. Remove the support back at the torque tube/bell housing area, and the steering rod, along with the u-joint should pull off the stub shaft going into the front end. You may have to push the upper steering shaft back up through the top support, to get it back far enough to pull off the stub shaft.

You'll have to watch, as there is a woodruff key in the stub shaft. Don't want to lose that... Never-seize it when you put it back together. You never know when you may have to split it again.
