Steering cylinder rod rubbing tire

I recently broke my steering cylinder rod driving over a stump.I had my JD dealer replace the rod, and now when I crank the wheel hard to the right the rod rubs against the inside of the tire.What can I do to fix this?

The tie rods need to be properly adjusted. My guess is that one side is turning further than the other side. It is an adjustment that the dealer can properly advise you how to do.

I think you have bent something when the rod broke. A photo would be nice. I really don't understand how the tire can get closer to the tie rod when you turn.

If one tie rod is cranked in tighter than the other, it will cause the wheels to turn sharper to one side than the other. This is why toe should always be set with the steering wheel straight ahead and equally on both tie rods. A thread or two won't effect it dramatically, but more than that and they are wrong.

My JD 4310 has a tie rod and a hydraulic steering cylinder rod.It's the steering cylinder that rubs against the tire not the tie rod.The dealer straightened the tie rod when he replaced the cylinder.

It could be that the broke part was replace with a wrong part that mounts differently? Check to see if the mounting is adjustable in any way. Would need to be there to see exactly how it fits to further diagnose the problem.
