Folks, thanks for all your suggestions. I'm thinking that no matter what I do with the tractor tires, weights, etc., I will alway stand the rish of going for a slide if I happen to have too much weight for the ground conditions. I really like either using some type of a pulley system where the tractor stays on top, or the weighted cart system. Now that you got me thinking, attaching a rope to the frame of the trailer and running it to a pulley at the top of the hill, I could have someone else keep tension on the rope when the trailer wouldn't want to push me.
