Steel prices going up - yet again

This steel issue is interesting to say the least. If i have a project using steel i buy imported steel from China it is a third to half the price of locally made BHP steel. However many engineering fabricators will only use BHP steel claiming that insurance won't cover them using Chinese steel as it does not meet Australian standards. I personally think BHP use bully tactics with these large fabricators. Can you in the USA buy cheap Chinese steal.

Yup.

And not just cheap steel from China. Sometimes it'll carry stamps from India, Mexico, or Brazil.
