I never bought anything from them and only here to read the tales of the thread. This whole thing could be a Twilight Zone episode.

Several years ago I bought 2 items from EA, pallet forks and a box blade. They shipped within 2 weeks and I have been happy with them. BUT, after this debacle, I would never trust them again. I really wanted one of their dual lid root grapples, but as others have said, lots of other folks making good grapples. Some just as good at more affordable prices, I have moved on from EA. Best wishes to EA and anybody who buys from them.

How they treated their customers during the fall, and their complete lack of communication, is the very reason I will NEVER give this company a single red cent of mine. Too many other companies out there to deal with and EA isn't the only company making good stuff
Not to put on the spot, but would mind mind naming any of them? I want a light duty grapple and the biggest thing that kept me from being another sad buyer was the price and pay in advance.

I've been searching for a few months and Catawba is on the top of my list. It comes closest to the specs/size of the EA grapple, and it is a little less expensive. I'm trying to figure out how to see one before I plunk down that kind of money.
Another one is MTL Attachments. I was set to buy one of theirs, but shipping issues put a stop to it. They don't deliver to a home address, business or terminal only, and reportedly the nearest terminal for the shipper they use is 3 states, and 6 hrs, away from me. It is a 10 hr drive from me to the MTL factory. I just moved to this area and don't know any of the businesses well enough to have something delivered to them, yet.

I’m running a Carolina Implements grapple. They appear to also be marketed under the Farm Maxx name.

Thread about them here.

MTL must have changed their policy because they delivered my skid steer forestry mower and grapple right to my driveway, the only stipulation was I had to have a way to unload them, which I did with one of my tractors with a FEL and pallet forks.

I bought one after EA took my order, took my money and made me wait for delivery till it was almost too late to do a CC charge-back.
THEN I found out ol' Ted
was taking orders & money and not delivering. Could he have notified me and voluntarily refunded? Yes.
Did he? No. I have been perfectly happy with the Homestead implement. Another thing I'm happy with is
they did what they said they would do. Took the order, took the money, built the grapple and delivered it in the time frame stated.
Homestead also offers grapples for sub compact. Good luck in your search.

P.S. and they delivered it to my farm driveway. I unloaded it off the back of the truck with a tractor and pallet forks. No problem and no big deal.

Like lineman said, try calling them again and explain that you'll have your DK40 with QA forks (you have those, right ?!?) ready to go, to quickly and easily unload the truck when it arrives. That or see if you know anyone that works at any business in your town with a loading dock, deliver it to them.

I love my MTL grapple, a super bargain for just $1200 delivered.
