Oldflathead said he rebuilds boat diesels for a living so I assumed he knew how to research simple Yanmar stuff that has US support, and had already done that.

I haven't ever noticed on here where someone identified support for the older Yanmar utility and small-boat engines. I assume Oldflathead already Googled it, I haven't. So at least as far as I know, this thread is the only discussion someone might find online for that engine. It would be good news if someone jumped in and showed us where/how to order parts for it.

As popular as the small single cylinder were here even in the US on sailboats in the 60s and 70s why does yanmar USA not support them? cant be that many parts compared to something else!!

Maybe it cause sailboats are boutique type applications and the owners tend to buy new when it gets old or has a breakdown.

Often times many people with money think that way.

My BIL and SIL have way more money than i. Not that i really have money or anything. Anyway the MIL car "broke down" that meant it was time to get a newer one for her in thier eyes. I didnt have time to look at it but from her discrition of water coming out of it i assumed it proably was a heater hose. Sure enough it was. i told my wife i hardly would call that a breakdown warrenting a new vehicle as those are wear items and should actually be replaced periodically and hers were over due anyway with the car being 9 years old they should of been done a few years ago.

ok rambel over

I'm looking at a very nice stationary Yanmar TS105C water cooled single cylinder diesel which produces 9HP at 2200 rpm.
I cannot find any information other than it is possibly 70's vintage.
I called Yanmar and they have no info on it. It is made in Japan and not a Yanmar clone.
Does anyone have information pertaining to parts availability or durability?

Are you just asking someone to look it up for you?:confused3: There are several parts suppliers on the web.
