Tc35d
I've got a tc35d that I hadn't started for about a month. I went out to fire it up yesterday and it cranked fine, started and then shut itself down after about one second. It will do this every time that I turn the key.

From what I can tell, if it is a safety issue, it normally disables the ignition altogether, right? I searched the forum and can't find a similar issue. Any ideas of what I can try?

Thanks in advance from a newbie.

How many hours on your rig???

First I'd verify that it does have fuel in it. And verify that it is getting to the fuel filter. (most newer tractors have a clear fuel filter or sediment bowl to visually check)

If it has set for awhile, you may have gotten debris or condensation in the system. You may want to try removing and cleaning or replacing the fuel filter, draining a little fuel out of the lines/bottom of the tank, and then bleed the system. This should all be explained in your operators manual.

Also, what year is it??? is it still under warrenty??? if so, let the dealer handle it.

Thanks LD. It didn't seem like a fuel issue but I'm going check it out now. Like I said I can turn it right back on after it shuts down. Do you think the fuel could refill the system that quickly?

I think you might have a loose wire to the fuel cutoff solenoid behind the injector pump or something else is loose in the operator safety circuit. As soon as the engine starts and causes vibration, the connection is lost. It might be the seat switch. Set the parking brake and see if the tractor will keep running. The neutral sensor and the PTO ON sensor will not allow the engine to crank over; however, the seat switch causes the fuel cutoff solenoid to open. I believe you have a problem with the seat switch or a loose wire/relay/connection somewhere.

My "disabled" seat safety switch on my T2220 was jsut doing the same thing. I installed a pvc pipe "ring" to hold it in the weighted position and it somehow stuck the opposite way like no one was in the operator seat. It'd start, run for a second, then quit. BUT, you had to put it in gear because it won't even start in neutral.
