My TC45 just got back from annual service worked fine in going out to a field. I jut down the tractor and then it won't start. great battery and starter problems seems to be with fuel or perhaps glow plugs?

Make sure all your levers are set to the proper positions. Could be the PTO is in just enough to Keep it from starting. Your dash light shuld be off. I'm not sure about the 45 series but the 33D has two wires under the platform that have been known to become disconnected on brush and cause a no start situation. Look under the platform where your left foot rests. Be sure to check all your fuses, sometimes those will blow and not open the fuel solenoid.

With all the indicator lights some of these machines have, I wish there was one that indicated when all the safety switches were set. I installed something like that on a large industrial fryer because there were so many calls "it doesn't work" and nobody knew why. Even better would be a wire from the fuel solenoid that lights a light when there is power there. I may put one on my TC29D, if I ever have a day with nothing to do and no rain.

If your engine cranks, but won't start, the problem is the seat switch. Pull up on your parking brake lever until the light comes on and I bet you it will start as long as the brake light is on. As soon as you drop the lever, it will die. That's the seat switch disconnected or faulty.

If the engine won't crank over, look for the PTO light on the dash. If it is on when the PTO is Off, your problem is fuse #2 is blown.

If the engine won't crank and the PTO light is not on, it could be the neutral sensing switch in the transmission, but most likely dirty battery terminals.
