Thank you for not admonishing me because I failed to read the entire thread again. 👍

WAIT a minute; those pallets form the infamous "Inverted Vee" pattern!!!

It's around 3/4 acre and 13' deep in the middle.
Nice!! I've been thinking about one for a long time now, and have a spot picked out to dig it fed by a spring which has never gone dry. Years ago I went out frogging around with my little backhoe just to see what was there. Lately it's been on my list of things to get done.

I haven't updated this thread in a long time . . . but a year ago I enlarged the pond about 30%. It's relatively shallow, but it's a nice addition to the pond. My fish are getting big. Some of the bass are a little over 2lbs now and there are lots of nice size bluegill. It's fun. I've also harvested some black walnut trees for lumber from the woods (I'm a furniture maker), and am now adding a small covered shed for wood storage and implement storage. I'm on the verge of either trading in my L3301 (or selling it outright) because I've never felt fully comfortable mowing my hilly and rough fields and the woodlot is quite steep. I found a used Kubota MX5400 that is much heavier, has bigger wheels and hopefully will prove more stable for mowing and using the grapple. A corner of the barn was finished out as a small cabin and I electrified it with an EcoFlow solar charged inverter generator. While my wife and I didn't move back to the country, I've been very happy working on the property, improving it, hiding from the progressively crazier and crazier world . . . It's been great therapy.

The MX5400 is a brilliant sized tractor with sufficient HP, weight and size to do nearly any task needed for your described use.

It's reliable and nimble along with being very stable.

Good luck with continuing the realization of your dreams...

It's fun reading the intro post "considering a B2301"
And now reading "Going to look at a MX5400".
