I started my BX 24 after only a few hours on it not realizing it had been moved to about 3/4 throttle. I feel terrible. It was that way for about 15 seconds before I got it backed down. I have been reading cautions in the manual about warmup and limiting the rpm during break in. There were no signs of harm but how bad could this have been on it?

It is never good to start a cold engine at a high RPM. It shouldn't have caused any damage, but I would make a practice of doing it.
