After months of wet weather when I go to my farm in the south west of Western Australia, last weekend was beautiful and sunny but cool. Just right for digging up some dirt to turn into a vege patch. The area is in my small "orchard". I have pulled out some non productive fruit trees and used the tractor, L4400, with spring tine harrows to break it up.

I only have a 5HP hand rotary hoe but one day I will buy its big brother. Just waiting for my share of the 30 million dollars that i am getting from a nice treasury official in Nigeria. All I need is $10k to pay off some officials. I'll share my millions with anyone who can lend me the $10k.

That sure looks like a lot of work!! Beautiful dirt. Do you get much rain, or will you have to irrigate?

I have a big dam with plenty of water but I don't have the equipment to do serious irrigation. I have to pump water up to a 23000ltr tank then gravity feed to the garden.

I use small battery timers for trickle irrigation. I will probably grow pumpkins over summer.

I want to grow some garlic next year.
