LA. Well, my impression is most folk can't relate with life in LA. So that good news that you learned is that you moved?
At 19...... Went back to stay once almost 40 years ago. Been in NC and now MO since then.

I find I’m happiest in locations with a view…

When I visit friends in Los Angeles their views are mostly cinder block fence walls.

Give me wide open space with vantage points.

I don’t see many Starlinks in urban areas…

I did get my Internet situation improved… I worked out a deal with a line of sight neighbor and so far so good…

In all honesty I was able to exist in the far rural areas because I could work from home. I relied on Wildblue, Dishnet, Hughs Gen! and whatever. They were are different billings of the same terrible service. I could not do my own WebEx or equivalent - I had to have my sales engineer host it and I would chime in, if I could, with the latency and being over talked.

It's not so now. People whine about speed while 4 things are streaming and nobody is paying attention to any of them.

I could only wish for a Starlink when my territory was north, central and south America and it wasn't that long ago. People are so unappreciative and, if I may say, slothful, with their use of today's technology.

The big question is: Did they bring CA with them or did they escape CA to be around others like them?
Problem is, most leave calif because of the issues of living in calif, and the first thing they say….”that’s not how we did things in calif” and try to change things. Get so pissed off about this mentality

And what is surprising to me is everywhere I go I find no shortage of people with current or former ties to California…

Haven't checked current #'s, but historically, California has approx. the population of Canada in one State.

You have a big baseload to work with !

I grew up around the car business and had a steady supply of out of state license plates coming my way…

My scientific license plate data shows a marked decline in the 1990’s with not a single plate in the last 5 years…

It appears the time people stopped moving to California coincides with the start of the pandemic… at least people relocating here with out of state vehicle tags…
