Weird, i run ad blocker+ on my ipad and it only shows blocked 4 ads

Which is the sort of blocking that I would normally expect. The numbers that @LouNY has makes me wonder whether there is some other configuration issue, or malware, or browser setting that is generating the high counts. If it were on my computer, I'd be poking around to make sure that it got fixed, partly due to malware concerns, and partly that partial ad loads are bandwidth consuming items.

I use AdGuard and love it because the utility installs as an executable, not an extension to the browser - although they have that option available too. So it blocks the ads from using bandwidth. And in doing so your connection is noticeably faster.

It depends. I've heard that YouTube is adding advertisements embedded right into the video feed which makes it about impossible for a blocker to get around. But don't really know because I avoid YouTube with a passion.
