Have a grandpas and it is a hit miss for dandelions on pulling the root. Also a problem in my soil is you have to manual scrape and pull the clods out if used when to damp and doesn’t work well if ground is hard either. Still beats trying to pull or dig them with small spade while bent over or on knees.

I have the Fiskars, and I like it. I would prefer a 90 degree top handle on it though.

Had three of the Fiskars and broke all three, though that was my fault. Fiskars replaced the first two and I never bothered with the third since it worked so well I decimated the plethora of dandelions. What broke it was I was using it to pull trees of heaven saplings that came up due to a crazy neighbors mature tree she loved because she read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn once. The Fiskars worked like a champ on the saplings except when I got to one that was attached to an underground root system and I applied too much pressure (the tree propagated via underground root systems as well as seeds falling from the tree). That neighbor moved and the new neighbors had the tree removed and I gradually managed to kill off the root systems by feeding them fertilizer and later applying brush killer to the stalks. Ten years later dandelions are still a rarity.

Yep, we have a Grampa's and it works like a champ. Regardless, either one will give you a workout - but less than pulling weeds by hand.

Fiskars works well and has a no hassle guarantee. I broke mine due to too tough roots or too hard soil. I gave the replacement to my daughter who has sandy soil.
