My BX2350 stalls when I either engage drive train or mower. I've replaced fuel filters and drained diesel and replaced. Idles fine and moves and then starves , rpm drop then after a bit resume . Sounds like fuel but have replaced all. Could be pump?

If it stalls right when you press the fwd/rev pedal or engage the PTO then more than likely it is the kill switch under the seat. Maybe I'm missing something...

No; I checked that first.

Did you wire around the safety switch?

Do you have full power and good throttle response while in neutral?

One of my tractors did this when the fuel pump was going bad.

Kill swich under seat checks out fine ; I let it idle for about 15 min after changing fuel ; started to drive off after about 2 minutes it started starving then resume ; let it idle drove with same results . Fuel pump activates when key on (did this to prime after fuel change) can fuel pump CAVITATE or run intermittenly?

Increase rpm to 2300 ; engage drive pedal , good resonse for about 30 ' than stutters ; let idle ; engage with same result ; set in neutral engage mower ; increase rpm ; goes fine for about 30-45 seconds ; stutters and runs rough ; than returns to higher rpm, tried above 10 -12 times same result

It sure sounds like a fuel delivery problem to me. My pump also ran and I could rev it up, but when I put any load on it, it would die unless I feathered the clutch and then I could get it moving, but it had no power and would stall out under any load. I am not a mechanic, so I am fresh out of ideas. Good luck.

jacon,
Your simptoms sure sound like a fuel starvation issue.
If your BX2350 is anything like my BX23, there are two fuel filters. One is on the suction side of the fuel pump and the other is between the pump and the injection block. Either one could be plugged, or there could be a wad of gunk plugging the outlet of the tank.
Disconnect the line from the second filter and put it in a suitable container, turn on the key and there should be a substantial flow of fuel. If not, remove the line at the inlet of the pump. There should be fuel flowing out of the line, not under pressure, but by gravity. If you still have no or weak flow, pull the line off the tank. Eventually you will find the blockage.
At about 200 hours, my BX started acting weak under load and going up hills. I found a lot of rusty looking mud in the suction side filter. I have always been careful about using fresh fuel, but it is easy to have stuff start growing in the tank.
