THANKS CRAIG,,I JUMPED SOLENOID FOR A SEC,,THEN IT WORKED,I THINK SOMETHING WAS STUCK WHEN COLD,,JIM Assume 12 V negative ground chassic
12V positive to solenoid
possible clutch pedal safety interlock
possible neutral gear box interlock
on the solenoid there could be a small jumper that connects to the large positive,
that would be the pull in coil
the pull in coil pulls a plunger forward moving the bendix and at the last moment the
main contact makes providing the heavy current 12V to turn over the engine.
This is off the top of my head, a jumper wire will complete the circuit to the pull in coil.
I would make sure the clutch is down , the key is in the run position and do the jump connections with a helper in the driver seat.
