I was walking across the field and this (see attachment) was stalking me. It would get real low below the weeds and creep toward me stopping occasionally to look up to locate me. I had my camera with me and zoomed this shot when he looked up. I started walking toward it and it took off. Is it wildlife or wild dog?

Looks like part Golden Retriever to me.

Interesting behavior. Wild dog, I'd say. Muzzle looks too broad and the fur too long to be wildlife. But I'm no expert. I looked for anything similar here.

Have you notice dog tracks around your house the following morning,for there a good chance dog been around for sometime,and felt comfortable in getting closer to you.

Sounds like a somewhat wild abandoned pet. Probably nervous around people but hungry.

Thanks, I agree. The way he ran just did not look dog like, but he was out in the middle of the day and most of the wildlife I've seen has been in the early morning or evening. Thanks.
