Can the Stabilizer bars on a 1500 be replace with some type of ajustable link?
If so what type?

Yes, sway chains with turnbuckles.

I'd like to know if there is a source for short turnbuckles. I could use a couple myself. I'm talking about a thread size of about 3/8". Maybe 1.5 or 2'' long.

We carry the same item. The one Jagman pictured has a 3-1/2" center tube. There is a larger one for larger tractors with a 4-1/4" square center tube.

I'm sorry, I thought he was asking about the sway chains, not paying close enough attention...........

Send an email if you want a diagram of the entire sway chain assembly.

Best I can do, the inner attachment is just a loop cut out of plate with a couple of appropriate sized holes. One end slips over the pin the lower arms pivot on, and the sway chains attach to the other.
Looking at the second of your pics, I hope your draw bar slides out, otherwise it looks like it could get in the way of a chain setup like mine. Why do you want to change? It seems like the setup you have should work pretty good...........

Jagman, I am getting more side to side movement than I like when pulling a cultivator. But I guess I can live with it because my draw bar is bolted to tractor with 8 to 10 bolts . I thank you for the information.

FWIW--I wouldn't suggest you remove the drawbar. The plate it is welded to opens to the gearbox.

I noticed from your pictures that the tube which fits between the stabilizer bars on the long pin is missing. That might affect side-to-side movement you mention.
