SSQA to 3pt for the front of the tractor

Well, here's a crazy request. I'd like to buy a SSQA plate for my FEL that has 3PT connections up there to mount a 3PT implement on the front of the tractor. I can hear the heads shaking now, but, if it's not too pricey, it would be pretty darn useful for some implements (like my landscape rake, I'd love to have that front mounted!) and let me do more work in fewer passes when I'm out in the field. I'd only use it a few times a year, it's not something I need all the time, but, when I need it, it could save me many hours, basically letting me do two operations at once (this past week, I would have put the landscape rake on the front and the culipacker on the back, for example,and 1/2ed the number of times I needed to go over the land).

So, justification be damned, anyone know if something like this exists?

Awesome! That's exactly what I'm after. Looks like it also adjusts to allow for different implement sizes.. That's the cat's meow! I'd have to add a Pat's QH to it, so, I have to decide if it's worth the ~500 all in cost,but, hey, at least I know it's out there!

Or get a blank mounting plate and weld a quick hitch to it.

I did the same thing. Cheap ssqa plate from ebay and cheap quick hitch from HF, weld them together. Use it all the time, mostly for a trailer mover. Also to move around 3 pt implements easily. Works fine.

Then you can mount any cheap 3pt equipment to the front.

I just looked at that link. $300 and no quick hitch capability so hooking up the 3 pt implement is still a nuisance. At the time I paid about $80 for the cheapest ssqa plate I could find and about the same for the HF quick hitch. The welding part is dead simple.

Yep, you're right about the adapter in the link. The OP was asking if that type of adapter existed. I had seen it on that website in the past and I posted the link to let him know it did exist. I wasn't recommending it. After your posts, I did another search on eBay and there are a number of different 3pt/ssqh adapters there too. I am also interested in putting something like this on my B2650 - mainly to move and store implements. Now that I've seen your posts, I have options. Thanks for the information and pictures.

Yours looks quite a bit better then mine, all painted up and pretty.
I had the SSQA sitting around as a spare and the quick hitch behind the shed and needed the reach that day,
it was still hot from welding when I hung it on the tractor and used it, should wire brush and paint it this summer. :thumbsup:
