SSQA Snow Plow

/ SSQA Snow Plow #31
Nice setup. I run a repurposed 10 foot power angle county plow on my M9 with the plow frame direct welded to a heavy duty ATI SSQA plate and the power angle cylinders (one hose each) directly connected to the FEL mounted Pioneer QD's. I would never put an equalization hose between the cylinders because if you equalize the pressure between them, the imposed force from the angled plow when pushing snow would tend to cause the blade to center itself and I want my 'angle of attack' to stay constant when plowing snow.

Not that we have had any, because so far, only a dust. As a rule I don't even consider plowing until we get at least 5" and that hasn't happened yet this year and that is fine with me.

Wow! Great information. Digging up an old thread, but planning a similar bill and curious the thickness of the QA plate and of the square tubing and angle used? Thanks!

I'll have to verify the plate thickness.

Checked this morning and verified it's 3/8" thick.

Mine was 5/16 too - but I added a lot of reinforcement to it. More than I needed but it is solid.
