Square Hay Baler

I've been looking at hay balers here in NJ/PA. There are several JD and NH available. What I don't know is:
Are there any models that were more reliable? Are there any that parts are not available anymore? Anyone have any suggestions or have balers for sale?
I have 10 acres of orchard grass. Don't need a kicker. So not looking to spend a whole lot.

I have a 20 year old New Holland baler, and parts are still made for it. In fact whenever I've needed parts, my local NH dealer had them in stock. I've heard that the same is true for JD balers.

I don't know the parts availability for other manufacturers.

I also know that my NH baler has been very reliable with very little trouble. Mine has a kicker, too, and I only paid $1500 two years ago. It's been a great investment.

Again, from what I've heard and read, you pretty much can't go wrong with used NH and JD balers if they're in good shape. You can find them pretty cheap.

I agree with Rich. Your NH and JD balers are your best bet. They really never made any bad ones. The technology has changed so little that there have not been many revisions in them. Either one you will be able to get parts for. Not sure how NH is anymore but with Deere they will have just about any part made by Deere for you that day or the next day at 8:00am. I've never had to wait for a part yet.

So far I've turned up several balers. The one that is in the best shape is an IH 37 w/thrower. It's $1600. Also found a NH 68 for $850. It's a little rough.
I'll keep on looking. Thanks for the advise.
