Yesterday my wife saw a starling with a yellow beak, she tells me it's a sure sign of spring.

Hiya,

No spring here, 8 inches of snow and sleet so far this week, 6 or 8" more snow tonight/tomorrow.. :(

Happy spring,

Tom

I wish!!! The only thing in the air here is 40 mph winds (with higher gusts) and 4 foot snow drifts. ALL the county roads south of here are CLOSED, and the estimate to get them reopened is three weeks. Any robin would be a fool to show up here!! We're in "one day at a time" mode, and a declared state of emergency....
Regards, Mike

Signs of Spring are in the air here as well. Temps predicted for this coming week are high 40's to low 50's. First bulbs of the seaon are in bloom and daffies are about 6"-7" high everwhere. Seeing a lot of birds returning.

This past week several small communities in the Mt pass were calling for help with 7-8 ft of snow on the ground. Gov sent out the NG to help remove snow from roofs as the weight of the snow was doing damage to structures.

I'm ready!

give us a good 45 days and then we'll talk spring.....
Around here I always consider the last day of February as the last day of winter.
We've had A long winter here this year due to 2008 being a leap year.

I agree LB. Especially now that daylight saving time has been moved up. It is March 9th this year!

I've been considering saving daylight, but those darn solar panels are tough to stick to the roof. Maybe with that extra day we have this month I give it another shot.

I keep my watch and clocks set on DST the year round so that I don't have to reset them twice a year.
All of my clocks and watches are set 10 minutes fast too.
That way if I'm ever late I'll be late 10 minutes early.

I retired Nov. 2002 but I would have retired 50 years ago if i could have afforded it.

Hiya,

My 401K planner says I should be able to afford to retire when I'm 107.....
