Yes, there are lot's of us here on TBN that are envious of that which you are blessed.... whilst we suffer.... Only problem is that the 2020 election starts tomorrow....

I've even got headlights on my walk behind mower now.:laughing: And I've used them, and like them, but I've used them early in the morning BEFORE daylight, instead of AFTER dark.

IIRC during the Nixon era we stayed on DST for one winter. Here in a Va we're going to school in the dark. It was about 830 before daylight. The farther west it was even later. I don't remember it lasting more than a year we were on it. I like to think of it now as a chance to catch up on other indoor activities and rest. More shop time,reloading after an early supper. Just a good change of pace from working til dark every night and eating at 9pm.

I remember one of the reasons that was given for DST was so kids wouldn't have to walk to or from school before or after sunrise or sunset. My Mother got a big kick out of that because she and Dad had my grade school aged niece, and they lived in Anchorage.
