spray Pam on your snowblower to prevent clogging

I put a coat of car wax on my snow shovels to prevent build up. It works great and I expect it would do the same on a snow blower chute.

Never thought of EZ I have a gallon can to use on mower deck.. Never thought of car wax ,but I have used generic brand pam from family dollar.
It seems to help especially at the edge of drives where state has treated main road.
Price about 1.80 a can.

I use a Loftness snowblower in the NH Lakes region. The only time it plugs up is when it is not running at full 540 PTO speed. Have thought of getting some of that sheet plastic they sell in hardware stores as a budget sled and lining the chute, but as I said I really don't have a problem if I keep the revs up.

Plastic snow sled as a liner does work!
In fact any plastic liner will be the best solution.

I have had success lining with industriel plastic sheet stock. I heated with a plunber torch to mould it into the contours of the shute and fastened with small bolts at the bottom of the shute.

Notice that many brands of walk behind blowers have gone to plastic shutes.

I like FF too, but why is it so hard to find compared to many other alternatives? (dealers aren't close) Also seems to be kind of expensive for how much you get out of the spray cans.

Spray cans of Fluid Film are for very small applications. The gallons and air operated spray guns are more economical.

John Deere dealers sell Fluid Film and the FF website has a dealer locater. Someone posted an Internet supplier that had good prices and decent shipping but I can't recall where that post is.

Maybe do a search on TBN.

I guess I don't understand marketing as it seems they could have more sales if sold in box stores, auto parts stores, etc. Far easier to buy wd40, pam and the like in these stores, I realize these do not contain the same ingredients, but apparently many use them for the same purposes as ff. If I recall correctly, a JD dealer wanted close to $40 for a gallon of the stuff.

Agree about the marketing. But with the high price of FF it probably would not move off the shelves very quickly. It is more of a specialty product for those that are not especially concerned about the cost but want the performance.

Found the website mentioned in an earlier post that sells just about everything FF produces at "decent" prices with free shipping. The JD dealer's price still beats it.
