Pretty simple to split...

Had her apart in about an hour.

I have a few questions for those who have been there...done that..

I assume I need to remove the large nut in order to remove the flywheel so it can be turned. Is there a torque spec I need to be aware of when I replace the flywheel.

What's the best/easiest way to remove the throwout bearing from the carrier..??

275-304 ft lbs.

Have not removed one but press, puller, hammer, in that order.

When I removed mine on my YM3000, and later on my JD950, it was a simple task using a 1/2" air impact and I installed the same way but spent a little more time on the nut tightening it down. No hammers necessary, or pullers for that matter, the flywheel is just a slip fit on the end of the crank shaft. I do have the advantage of having some larger sockets, and one of them fit the nut just fine. Be sure and check the bell housing to engine bolts while the flywheel is off, mine were loose with a couple of them broken. The broken bolts were easy to remove drilling and using a easy out remover.
