Jinma 284
I'm new to the forum even though I've been hanging around for the past several weeks reading all the old threads and trying to get educated on Jinma tractors. I probably would have procrastinated for who knows how much longer if it hadn't been for the costs of transportation going skyward. On Labor Day my new 284 Jinma was delivered to my doorstep, assembled and ready to go. It has a Spirit 20L FEL which I've not seen mentioned on this particular forum and I'm wondering why. I was fortunate enough to be able to physically compare it with a Koyker 160 side by side and went with the Spirit. The dealer I purchased the tractor from has worked with hydraulics for a number of years and recommended the Spirit over the Koyker. What say you?

I've never heard of this Mfg. before, but back in 2000 i imported some chinese loaders. if my memory doesn't fail me the model no. on these loader were 20L or something very close. Is the Spirit 20L, cheaper in cost compared to the Koyker loader. if it is i'd guess these are imported loaders that someone has put there own label on.

The units are made in Wisconsin by an outfit named Deljen. If you search back through the post on this forum you'll find one from a guy (possibly one of the owners). They have a website but I don't know if I'm supposed to post it or not. If your interested email me. As far as cost I'm not sure. When I bought mine the dealer said I could have either one for the package price he quoted. I did price just the loader from a dealer in Wisconsin and he quoted me $2500 if I bought the tractor too.

there was a few items on these a while back, I belive there was some jinma disasters involving this loader, not sure if those were early units or tests or what but I do remember a broken in half tractor due to loader design, and one broken bell housing, this was at least 3 yrs back on the OLD CTOA board possably too.?? anyhow the NEW ones not sure
the chian loader is a ZL20 loader and is distinctly china vs USA made suff.

Looks just like the new Chinese quick disconnect Fel, probably a Chinese loader branded Spirit. Saw one in Florida a few weeks ago looked just like it with no name on it right out of a container. I would think the forward mount would cause more leverage on the mount point and bust a tractor, thats right it already did some time back with a different name on it.

if Deljen is behind the Spirit loader, it is more than likley a imported loader. if the hydraulic hoses are skive fitted. my guess it is chinese.

According to DelJen, they're American-made in Waupaca, Wisconsin.

The Spirit FEL(s), which are manufactured in Wisconsin, are a copy of the Koyker FEL(s). A couple noticeable differences are the Koyker loaders use two lower torque tubes while the Spirit only uses one torque tube. The Koyker loaders also use a thicker gauge steel on the arms of the loader where the Spirit will use a thinner gauge material. The Koyker FEL is one of the best money can buy and will definitely live up to its value.
