I didn't know what this lever was for until I got my manual a few days ago. But I tried to use it today on my BX2230 and it seems like it might bend slightly, but it doesn't engage at all. How hard should you have to push on this thing? I guess I don't think I'll use it a lot, but are there any suggestions how I should tackle this?

I haven't used mine at all. I'll check it out later.

Yooper - I believe he means the "cruise control" lever, right hand side next to the ignition switch.

Yeah, it's the cruise control lever. I was using the terminology that the owners manual does. I originally wrote the thread using "cruise", but changed it because I wanted to be "correct". :)

On the BX2230 it is the top inside lever on the right fender. Mine is pretty much set off and it feels like I'd bend it if I pushed any harder.

I've got a 2360. My lever simply drops into a detent easily when flipped up with the gas pdal depressed. No forcing needed.

Just press the HST pedal to desired speed, maybe a hair more , press down on the CC lever and lift off the HST hydro pedal and it should lock in CC

That's exactly what I have tried and the lever gives some, but it never locks in. I will have to follow the lever down somehow. There must be a pivot point that is frozen. Low priority though.

Thanks!
