Speaking of dogs, this just makes me mad - II

Thursday in my town, A dog was found beside the road severely malnourished with plastic zip-ties around its muzzle & genitals. It's expected to recover.
It never ceases to amaze & sadden me, the cruelty that humans can inflict on animals.

According to today's Union-Leader the dog is in guarded condition but is expected to live.
This act of cruelty ticked off enough people that a reward fund is over $10,000.

Yeah and think about what else the piece of human trash that did that is capable of.....
It seems to me that a person who is willing to do something like that, which casuses such suffering to a helpless animal has a major head problem. I hope they catch the person(s) and throw the book at them.

I agree, I would imagine that person would be capable of doing harm to another person as well.

& probably has, it took some kind of a sick, demented mind to do it that's for sure. They actually wanted this animal to suffer & die but tried to make it as slow as possible. Think about that for a minute, then look around at your family, four legged or two, it makes me just want to hold them a little tighter & hope people like that don't live near me.

TEENAGERS
thats all i have to say. bored kids do stupid things. i cant stand it, but i guess being stupid is part of growing up. plus it has been proven that kids that torture animals turn into adults that torture humans.....ted bundy, burkowitz, dohmer. they all tortured animals as youths.

We just ended up adopting yet another abused dog. Our first thought was to find her a good home, but I think she's going to stay with us for good!. Pervious owner threatend to shoot her if she wasn't out of the house by the end of the week. She had been slapped around alot (according to neighbors). Poor thing was scared of her own shadow. Most beautiful German Shepherd I've ever seen. She took to my daughter right away and won't leave her side for a moment. Eight years ago we did the same with a Black Lab. She had spent her first 18 months of life in a mud hole on the end of a 8' chain. Couldn't run or play. Was scared of everybody. It was almost a year before she was able to walk without her tail tucked between her legs. Lots of attention and love and she's come out of it. (But i'm sure there's lots of bad doggie memories locked away). Whats really sad is its not only going on with dogs and cats but with children as well.
