Where can one get a spare key. When I bought my tractor I only got 1 and I hate not having an extra.

I haven’t found anywhere locally that can cut Kubota keys. I don’t know what Branson keys look like. The Kubota dealer sells them for $11 for a 2 pack.

I got extra keys for my McCormick X 1.45–really a Branson—through a local Branson dealer

I got extra keys for both of my Kubotas and my Massey off of ebay.

Tell your dealer to cough up your spare! New tractors come with 2 keys, including both my Bransons.

What Texasmark says - all new vehicles come with two keys. The dealer owes you one key.

I bought mine used, as a repo. I think the deal I got I can fork out $9 for a couple of extra keys. .

Always a good policy. I have three keys for everything. Spares are marked and in a key box. Sometimes you don't loose a key but it ends up in a jacket pocket and so you just get another, and then STILL have a back-up!

I just shake my head when people are screwed when they loose a key.

Key related question: Is there just one key for the ignition and cab doors? I can't get my right door to unlock (it opens from the inside but not outside).

speaking of keeping up with spare keys how do yawl keep up with spares? the key box sounds like a good idea.

Probably not your problem, because I could not even open the door on my Versahandler. Luckily the top half of the door had been removed several years ago, was able to reach in and unscrew the nut holding the striker pin.

Removed the door and the inside cover. Found a large dirt dauber nest was preventing the the latch from working.

Dealer should have given 2 keys...most do... ask for another.

I bought as a repo from a bank. While at a dealers lot, they didn't own the tractor.

Understand. But tractor keys typically common on the same model. They should have spares or simply can order another. It is not like a car where the key matches the car. Any Branson 2910i key should fit yours, other models keys as well. Your dealer should have ponied up whether the bank owned it or the dealer. I am sure the bank paid them a fee. My $0.02 anyway. Congrats on a nice tractor.

I lost the keys for a D8 Cat that I rented once to do some serious landscaping. I called the rental agency to tell them, thinking I was in deep dog doo. He said "No problem, all D8 Cats use the exact same key, I have a ton of them."
That said my Branson does use a different key for the cab than it does for the ignition.
