How much affect does that have on your headlights, George?

I don't usually use the headlights due to the bucket or other front attachment is always in the way of the lights. The do shine through the expanded metal if the bucket is low enough. I mainly use the front cab lights and front and rear LED light bars I installed.

If you really wanted to, you could look for a DOT number (or similar) on that light and throw it into Google. Should tell you if there is a replacement out there from another vehicle so would be cheaper.. Do this all the time for offroad vehicles and RVs.

My wife wanted to replace a busted side mirror on her Kia Sorento. $600 for the OEM assembly from the dealer. She found an aftermarket match for $180, at a website suggested by the service manager, and the dealer even agreed to paint and install it.

No idea if there is a similar market for tractor lights/lenses, but it's certainly worth a look. You know that's not going to be cheap from LS.

I did the same thing on my L4240 but speared the lower grill and battery;glad I missed the radiator.I also added expanded metal to the brush guard and have bent that up already.

Yep, the stock LS grill guards provide little protection. I modified mine in a similar fashion.

I also added a pad eye to use when chaining down to trailer. I use a similar clevis, on drawbar to tie down rear end. No damage to paint when trailering and only need single chains and ratchet type load binders on front and rear instead of four.

Good idea on the tie downs. Some states require tie downs on each corner. I've been thinking of how to set mine up for trailering and I like your set up. I'll have to check with my highway patrol friends and see if it's OK.
