Don't get me wrong, i would love a clean truck with 7.3 turbo but.....

If it wasn't for everything new and aftermarket, I wouldn't have touched this truck.

Wife found it and body is clean but I seen 6.4, told my wife to keep walking. Owner showed records of new stuff.

Truck has alot of power but still a 6.4
After Ford discontinued the 7.3, I moved to Dodge/Cummins. So did all 5 of my rancher BILs.

I’m not sure which is worse, the terrible rust cancer, Rams seem to exhibit or a few bad engines Ford has

Forestry muncher and skid steer to run it

That would save me some much time and energy
One would be fun, but I have to assume that maintenance on one would be terrible because they sure put up a huge cloud of dust as they work, and of course you would want an air-conditioned cab so you’d be cleaning out the air conditioning every five minutes it would seem to me!
And I’ve only seen them operate in Indiana. I’d hate to see them in a really dry climate.

I inspect those forest mastication contracts often. If they’re running in forest vegetation they don’t kick up too much dust. But when I show up on the site, I often see them out of commission with the drum pulled apart and no work happening. Another break down and another parts run. These are high maintenance cost machines.

We don’t see rusted out vehicles in the west unless they came from the Midwest.
It’s rare not to see a ram onlife support do to cancer in Indiana.

Now my 2014 F 150 doesn’t have any rust at all and that’s the year before Ford went aluminum. And as far as I’m concerned, the 5.0 has been almost faultless, the worst thing, the ford dealer charged a small fortune for Spark plugs at 130,000 miles, a tad over $400
