In stead of appearing to hijack "Whats this lever for" in owning/operating, I'm posting here. Some of you may get a bang out of this.
Many years ago, I worked for a treefarmer. He managed to get my interest up for heavy equipment, big trucks, etc. We had a big job going on and he hired another kid to help out. This guy really liked big machines too. Anyway, one day we were digging, balling, and hauling trees to the project. On the way, the kid wanted to drive the tandem dump I was using to pull the flatbed loaded with trees. That didn't seem like a good idea, so I told him after I drop the trailer, he could drive a little on the back roads. Well, I dropped the trailer, and started the hoe up to move the trees. He asked again to drive the dumper. Oh alright, just go down the road abit and come back, I needed him to hookup the trees on the loader. He jumped up in the truck and looked around. He then asked what those yellow and red knobs were for. I told him I didn't know but you have to push them to move the truck for some reason. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I said to pull them out once before you get on the road to see what happens. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Away he went, moving maybe 5mph, when I heard the unmistakable sound of air escaping. He actually pulled both, needless to say the truck came to stop pretty fast. This actually happened close to 30 years ago I smile every time when someone asks whats this knob, button, or lever do. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
