Some more junk?

Went to an equipment auction today and picked up a couple items.

First is a 6 1/2 foot fisher plow complete with head gear and angle rams. $40.00
I have been looking for one with power angle for a while, nothing the right size in my price range.

Second was a museum quality antique cast iron forge complete with blower and water quench tank, absoloutly beatiful. $170
My father has been doing some blacksmithing on a home made forge so I got this for him for fathers day.

Thomas is right, auctions can become addicting. I go to one most Mondays and you have to have the attitude of, if it's not a real good deal, it's not going on my truck. Also, do I really need this?

I bought a running XL12 Blueboy for 5.00 a few weeks ago, also a running Homelite xl for 15.00, needed gas lines replaced. That Blueboy was for parts, but gassed it up and it runs great, no problems.

I have a 2 point bottom plow in really good condition I gought for 30.00. Auctioneer was almost calling it at 15.00, but I got in on it and bought at 30.00.

They sold a Ferguson TO30 that was someones working tractor for 1200.00. Looked and ran good, looked to be ready to go but could use paint.

Auctions...I could go on but we all have our stories. But if 2 people want it bad, the prices can get on up there.

a plow is a plow, not much to show there.

The forge is another story. I decided trying to un-load it at my house and re load it later was taking too much of a chance of breaking something so I gave it too him this morning. He was very excited and asked 20 times if I knew what I had bought. It was working perfectly before the auction began but people messing with it broke the leather belt. I was bidding against a fellow who asked me if I was going to put it in a museum, I told him I planned on my father using it for hobby work and he said its yours. Talked to him after and he said he didn't want it to be put up and never worked again. Long story longer my father knew him and he offered to buy it if my father didn't want it for some reason. After seeing my fathers facewhen he saw it, no worries about that.
