Currently 6v positive ground electronic ignition, push button start.

I have 4 post solenoid and it only operates when ignition wire is connected through other post. Question, is that a problem with E ignition or should I change to 3 post solenoid, or ground this terminal? Thx

If powering one small terminal and grounding the other completes the circuit and activates the solenoid I'd probably just ground the terminal. The three point solenoid just has one terminal grounded internally.

The three point solenoid just has one terminal grounded internally.

Not always, if this were on an 2N/9N/8N tractor the solenoid is wired differently.
