I went on a goose hunt years ago on the Spikebox ranch (the owner was the one who sued Oprah Winfrey over disparaging beef comments she made). Two of the guys I hunted with were past presidents of the North Texas Hunter/retriever club and had their dogs with them. I witnessed some phenomenal dog work and 5 of us limited out after 2 flights. I've never seen so many geese.

Nice hunt, Terry. I've had good luck on the Shore (Virginia and MD) each time I've been. Coincidentally, I've got an 11 year old yellow lab named Daisy, retired, except for retrieving a few dove on opening day.
Any jewelry on those geese?

nope, don;t see as many bands as we used too. i think he have shot one banded bird in the last 4 yrs.

you wanna shoot geese i really want to get out west for pronghorn and mulies

speaking of geese.... these are from three years ago when it was nice and cold. hopefully this year will be as good

Yes. No telling how he lost his foot, but it didn't slow him down any as he is one of the biggest hogs killed here. It took everything I had just to roll him over!!!!!
