I won't call it your "real" job, but it seems many of us here do what we really want to be doing after regular work hours. So, what's your daytime job...and how little does it have anything to do with tractors?

I'm an IT technology consultant. However, I occasionally recommend we install an underground line for our customers to keep it interesting.

Anyone else?

I was an Engineer for telecom company's for 35 years, now an Independent Insurance Agent. Life, Health, Disability, Annuities. Doesn't have a thing to do with tractors, and I can't insure your tractor either, I don't have a P & C license!

Day time i drive tractor trailer hauling building material. every evening, weekend and all winter i run a firewood business which my two tractors play an important part in. John

I spend my days playing on the farm, I work nights at an automotive parts manufacturing facility. I can honestly say I work night and day to reach my goals.

Manufacturing engineer at a tier one automotive parts supplier. Someone once told me manufacturing jobs are the best job you ever want to quit. Never a boring minute, but I would much rather be out mowing trails or moving a pile of dirt.

I remodel houses and pretty much whatever a client needs to have done from picking up poo, to going shopping with them, to gutting a room down to the dirt under the foundation and redoing everything.

I design molds, program NC machines mills, wire edm, laser , lathes. I also help inventors by designing their products in 3D

Almost 30 years as an engineer in the transportation sector designing and constructing highways. Last 8+ years as an executive manager, which means very little opportunity to do any "cool" engineering stuff anymore. Seat time on the tractor is a good way to unwind and decompress from the stresses of the work week.

I'm an independent self-employed equipment mechanic and do onsite repair and maintenance of utility tractors and construction equipment. I don't even own a tractor, though tractors are my life

I'm a building maintenance mechanic. I do all aspects of maintenance, repairs, electrical, plumbing, painting, welding, and preventative maintenance. Have worked mainly for schools and hospitals for past 40 years. In my earlier years I also worked for a few car dealerships and gas stations (when gas stations were also car repair shops) as a mechanic. Learned a lot from my Dad and older Cousin who owned a station. Rebuilt my first engine at 14. After work and weekends I spend lots of time in my garage tinkering on classic cars and various projects. Basically a jack of all trades, master of none.
