So..what's an acre go for in your area?

Good farm land around here in central Illinois will bring anywhere from $4700 to $6000 an acre. I did here of some a couple counties north of here that went for $7775 an acre. It is just plain crazy. I can not figure out how you can pay for land at that price by farming it.

In this area about 2k...and we are probably very close to getting 20 more acres adjoining the 20 that my MIA gave us.
