I’m using my apple 6s now…

10 years and no issue but some apps I depend on no longer work and the operating system can not advance to the new minimum required

10 years is a good run but 20 would be better.

Especially since some of the new ones cost upwards of $1K !

Only reason I moved to a Iphone 8 from a 5s is because we needed to have a usable hot spot occasionally. Paid $125 with a warranty from local independent dealer. Still going strong after a bit more than two years.

Have you looked at the Dohm background noise machine? It's a fan with adjustable shutters. I've had one for years.

We started using a bedroom fan yrs ago. When winter came we no longer needed it but my wife said she couldn't sleep without the noise...so I bought one the fan noise machines. She loves it, I hate it. Worst idea I had in awhile

If you have Alexa there's a 'skill' called 'Brown noise' that is a noise machine, but lower in pitch than standard White or Pink noise. It's free.. Just tell her to 'Play Brown noise'
