I started to look into a snowplow setup for my RTV900.
I notice that most of them use a winch to lift the blade.
My machine isn't equipped with a winch, but it does have hydraulics. (Dump bed).

Does anyone know of a factory hydraulic lift plow?

I was thinking about getting a Denali plow and adapting a piston lift, instead of installing a winch. I just don't know if it would be worth the effort.

Thoughts?

I think the factory units and the Boss run off the RTV's hydraulics.

The best I can tell online both the Kubota (Curtis) and the Boss use self contained electric/hydraulic pump setups. I Emailed both companies this morning with an info request, in case I'm wrong about the electric pump.

I really don't need power angle, just lift would work fine for me.

Hydraulics add ~$1000 to the price of the plow. Most I've seen have a self contained pump and reservoir. Unless I was doing the work professionally, I'd opt for the winch version (much cheaper and you can use the winch when the plow is off). Lots of plow setups in the $500-1000 range if you go with winch lift system.

The one to get is the V4291 from kubota.

I had a X900 with a boss vplow on it. Self contained hydraulics, but pretty heavy. If you don't have the heavy duty struts and shocks you should buy them. Might need that for any blade setup. The boss vplow was a nice setup but for me a little overkill.

Purchased the 835M Gator this year, went for luxury. The blade on the gator now has an actuator on it to turn blade left or right. Trying to scare the snow away.

Trying to scare the snow away.

Looks like your scare tactics are working.

The V plows and the electric/hydraulic set up cost more than I'm willing to invest. Before spending that much I would rather go with a frame mount on my tractor.
It doesn't snow too often here, but we did get about 14 in. last week. Some years I don't do any snow removal at all.

Is the plow on your Deere a Denali Pro?

Have you used it yet?
Impressions?

I just have two driveways to do. If it's real bad I can use my FEL.
I was thinking of a winch operated unit, do you have any experience with these? Things I should consider/look out for?

I thought I'd send photos of my completed plow setup.

I bought the plow itself, which was designed to be lifted by a winch.
I set it up for hydraulic lift.

The lift piston, which is powered by the aux. hydraulics, attaches to the front 1 1/2 inch receiver hitch.

The lift works great.

Total cost for the lift system was about $190 plus $679 for the plow itself.
