Snowing..arrrr

Ah yes, snow - one of the reasons I moved from Utah to South Carolina 20 years ago. Snow is good for skiing (which I enjoy) - and not much else. I remember one particularly cold morning in college when I had a 7:30am class, so got up at 6:30am, and after a quick breakfast found my car (old, rear wheel drive, cheap tires) in sub-zero sleet behind a 4 foot wall of snow piled up by the road clearing crew, and when I shoveled it out, I still had to scrap the windshield and heat up my key enough to unfreeze the door lock - then I had to go back into the apartment to change my iced up clothes - and when I came back out a minute or 2 later - the car door lock had re-frozen, and another snow plow had just gone by. Yup, great times. Be thinking of your Northerners this winter ---

Yes, here in Wisconsin it's the snowiest October in 66 years. And we are not done with the month yet! Temperatures are also way below normal too!

I'm not ready for winter. But then I've been saying that for a few years now.

Awoke this morning to winterly scene. This is the second snow of the year
but this time it's sticking. Usually we see our first snow in mid-November...

Thats better than what we are getting over here in the Monadnock region - just rain washing away the snow from earlier in the week. I really wanted to finish spreading lime this weekend. Oh well - no distractions while I help the boy finish up the clutch and transaxle in his Accord.
