I have a new, unused joystick that I was going to use to control the blower chute rotate and discharge. Tractor was sold and the new one doesn't need it.

I'll mail this to you on my dime via USPS.

Call dibs. Pm your mailing address.

You do realize that as soon as you ship it a project that requires a joystick will magically appear!! Of course if you were to keep it, it would lay around on your workbench for years collecting dust.

Hold up. Push your clutch in. That looks awesome. Where would I find something like that for my snowblower. Right now I am using two window motor switches but the joystick looks much nicer. Where would I find one?

Pretty sure I got it on eBay and it was $8 or $10. It's a Zippy brand arcade joystick.

Hmm. Interesting. Pretty sure an arcade joystick will not come with wiring instructions for me :) I am probably better off with my power window switches that work. Have to admit the the joystick sure would work nice. Thanks again for the info.

I used a similar joystick and 4 automotive relays to control both the rotation and deflector. Not hard to do and well worth the effort, especially the joystick part for which I now have fingertip control.

Use this diagram http://home.myfairpoint.net/kentech0822/temp/chutecontrol.png for each action - meaning you need to make this for each function (4 relays total). Need more help? Send me a PM.

I originally used momentary contact 3 way DPDT rocker switches that I crossed over to reverse the polarity and thus opposite rotation. They were not easy to operate with gloves. The joystick is so much easier that I can place between two fingers and control the chute. If you're dead set on rocker switches, I see that you can purchase a polarity reversing switch at Amazon Amazon.com: 3 Amp Rocker Switch Polarity Reverse DC Motor Control: Automotive which wouldn't require the crossover since it's already done for you. But joystick is the way to go.

Why relays? To take the amps away from the microswitches in the joystick.

Here's the result. The SS box on the left contains the relays and connections.

I'm going to be electrifying my blower with it. Linear actuator is $50 or so for tilt. 5@ draw tops, need to look at the stick when I get it to see if the switches will be happy with that.

Have yet to figure out what to do for rotate. OEM solution is wrapping some cable around the drive shaft on the rotate handle & using it like a 2 way winch. Have a cheap ATV winch I may use, but it's WAY overkill power wise.

Looks great. I may have to look into it in the future. Pretty sure I would need some help with the wiring. Thanks for the pics
