Grading Snowblower: 3 or 4 blade fan??

Want an easy solution? Butcher block wax. One application last year solved my clogging problems in both of my blowers. I gave my father the container and he used it too.

Where do you get Butcher block wax, how do you apply it and how often? Do you just do the chute?

as more weight =more traction(usually)

Usually, except when that weight has been dropped on the ground behind the tractor and is no longer being supported by the rear wheels.

On flat ground, not generally a problem unless the last storm had icing conditions.

If there are hills at all, more width = more to force your way into and blow out of the way.

I have had my 60" blower stop my B2410 cold when there was a foot of snow behind me and the ground underneath was frozen and slick.

I bought the wax at our local hardware store although a True Value/Ace Hardware/etc will have it. Typically it's butcher block wax but it could be alley wax (bowling alley that is).
I paste it on the entire blower, top to bottom, inside and out (since slush will build up on the top). It makes cleanup a breeze since snow won't stick to it as easily as it would on wet or warm metal. I found no indication of harm to the paint or the metal.
I put it on once a year in the fall. I suppose if it's a heavy snow winter ( I can only hope!) that it can be applied more than once but for the couple of years I've been using it I haven't had the need.

Any time I have had my blower plug it plugged at the exit chute. It only plugged in snow that had become saturated with water - blowing slush rather than snow.

Ditto's for me. Mine is 3 blade 60" Ford.
