Hi

Does 1 inch of snow = 1 inch of rain, I guess it does't, so if not how does it equate

Typically, 1 inch of rain = 1 foot of snow. However, snow can vary from 'light and fluffy' to 'heavy and wet'.

Thanks for the pic, thats impressive on the shed (barn), It must be a real mess when it is melting.

Not really. It melts in stages, slowly on and off throughout the winter. The winds that come in spring really help in rotting it down. But thats still 4-5 months away. We're just getting started with our winter, the picture is just one of the first installments, before it's over we will get a total of 200+ inches.

Never seen snow huh, you must live in heaven..

The office measurement is 1 inch of rain equals 10 inches of snow.
To calculate this they take snow from a given area an melt it to see
how much water there is. In the real world that 10 inches of snow if
dry an fluffy can look like 2 feet...

Whats the thing on the FEL arms?

That thing on the FEL arms is the main snow plow. The front plow is equipped
with skid shoes which keeps the blade a inch or so off the ground.. This keeps
what little gravel I have on the driveway from getting windrowed in the the grass...

The rear blade is without skids so I can clean the concrete approach to the garage
an other hard areas down to bare ground. Also you can turn the rear blade around
an backblade really soft areas
