Snow Attachments Snow, Upstate N.Y.

Well the weathermen were wrong about the rain and freezing rain part here in up-state N.Y. Received 7" of some of the wettest snow ever, wife barley exited the driveway this A.M. Oil company man cleaning furnace @ 8:00 A.M. got stuck in driveway with van which had studs on rears. Had to wake the Grand L and plow driveway. Good thing I was bored a few days ago and took off the LA2674 rear Blower and installed the RB3584 with skid shoes, worked great the skid shoes are the mushroom type so when I went off the blacktop blade didn't tear up lawn. Hum, maybe winter has arrived?

It's still raining down here. Supposed to be changing over to snow tonight, with lake-effect kicking in tomorrow.

It changed to snow about 6AM today. It was 37 degrees and pouring rain when I left for work at 4 this morning. By 6 it had dropped to 31 degrees and it snowed all day. By 9 the temp was 24. Had about 5-6" here by time I got home and still snowing. Local weather channel says I should see another 3-5" by morning. We've been lucky so far this year since its only the second time I've had to plow.

It must have changed over to snow sometime in the wee hours this morning. It was 42* at 9pm last night, and 18* by 7am this morning. We've gotten about 6" so far, it's hard to tell since the wind has been blowing so much, the ground is bare in some places and 8-10" drifts other places. There's a band of very heavy lake-effect just north of us right now, supposed to be moving this way by 8 or 9pm. We could have 10-12" new snowfall by tomorrow morning.
