Snow traveling ATV

Thanks for the reply! I can't tell from the picture what specific brand the tracks are. Mattracks say their tracks will lower the gear ratio by 20%. Maybe this would be a good thing for more power though the RTV is pretty good as is. The four inches of additional ground clearance would also be great. Now if I could just convince the wife that tracks would make her life so much better! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The traction is unbelievable , it will go places a snowmobile won't go. Last year we had two Nor Easters in a week. It dumped about three feet of snow. snowmobiles could not move in the deep snow , but I went out on the ATV and had snow coming up over the front of the machine and I just kept going.

I have never gotten stuck with the tracted ATV, where I couldn't back out of the problem .

The snow machine on the other hand is a Artic Cat Pantera 550 Luxury Touring sled. If you get that beast stuck you want to make sure that there is someone around to help you get it out.

The tracted ATV is harder to stear but not a lot, and yes ,it is impossible to stear if your standing still.

All we need now is SNOW !!!!!

Makes me wish we had snow in North Texas.
