Here in central Ontario I have about 500' of hilly gravel driveway to keep clear for our visitors and tennant. Some places it drops off at the side, others it is trees or banks. I have an old snowblower for the JD4300 but i broke the PTO shaft last fall and haven't bothered to fix it(time and money). I just use the rear blade(backwards) and a snow bucket on the FEL. Tire chains are a must. If I had a QD front blade for the FEL (WITH trip springs) I might use it but once we get a good base of snow over the gravel the rear blade does fine to angle the fresh stuff off to the shoulder. When the shoulders get too high I take the FEL to them. When I used the blower I always wished for a cab, now a skidoo helmut works fine
Yes my son has bent the 3pth arms in past but he has since moved out and I don't mind spending the seat time for a good plow job...
