I use the front 60" hyd angle blade and a rear 60" blade with hyd angle. This works very good for what I have to do. I do about 15 driveways around here the back blade gets close to the garage doors then I use the front blade to clean the rest. We get a fair amount of snow around here and the BX has never had a problem pushing the frozen piles back to make room for new snow. If I had a single bigger area to do I would consider a blower. I do have the skid shoes on both blades I think it helps with the wear on the cutting edges and the driveways. Here are some pictures of the BX in the snow.

Yes, please do! I want to put power angle on my back blade for this winter. I have the remotes to power it.

My answer is all based on your needs / wants.
A FEL loader will do the job for most cases. I mean 3-4 or even 6 inches of snow once in a while is no big deal.
Long driveways, heavy snows and lots of drifting are another animal all together.
Save yourself some money and try the FEL this winter and re-visit the question next spring.

If you mostly get 6" and less snow, get yourself a plain backblade. That is what I used all last winter. It is much faster to set it on an angle, and push the snow off to the side as you drive forward. I paid a whole $100 for mine used, so it certainly isn't much of an investment. For the occasional bigger snow, you could move the piles back with the FEL, but if you're driveway has any length to it, my money is on a blower for the bigger snows. I have a blower, but have only had my tractor for one winter, and the deepest snow we got was 4". Every few years we get a 24" dumper, so I'll be glad I got the blower (which was including in the package when I bought my used B7100 -- kept the blower when I sold the B7100).

Hi Jeff & jas67, yes I did fab the brackets for the rear blade. I used a 2" dia. x 8" stroke cyl. I did a little testing to figure out the placement of the cylinder mounts so 1/2 of the stroke would move the blade from straight to the point where it angled the farthest with the pins. I also added another mount on the other side of the blade frame so I could use the cyl. with the blade reversed and the same pivot mount on the blade. And with the skid shoes and the hyd. top link I can adjust the blade to go over joints in the driveways or shorten the top link and scrape ice right down to the pavement. I included a bunch of pictures that will show it better than I can describe it. LOL

We recently moved up here to Beaver Creek, northern Michigan, and I bought the BX Kubota for two purposes. Gardening, my passion, and snow pushing, my duty.
No way I could swing a blower attachment, front or rear. Taking possession of new property does that to a guy. Perhaps in the future. For now, I will be trying the front blade. Yes, it is the hydraulic, full control model. I will know better how my decision works out in a few months. BTW, I have a wide areas along side my long, gravel drive, so I will be taking my salesman's advice and start out pushing it far, far away, so as not to get penned in later.
