Hiya,

Ran into this thread just before I was going out to the barn to spray the snowblower with graphite to get ready for the winter. Here's a couple of last years "record winter" in NH.

Enjoy,

Tom

Probably a dumb question but when the blower is mounted on the rear do you back into the snow or drive thru and over the snow??

depends on the blower. Most are ones you back into the snow. But there are some that you can pull into the snow.

Here's a few more pics from our lake effect snow today. Had 6-8" at 0410 this morning when I left for work. By 1330 this afternoon I had 13-15" that I just finished plowing and they expect it to continue snowing throughout the night so could see another 8-10" by morning.

I have lived here for six years and have never seen snow on the mountains like the attached pic. We still have snow up there and it been over a week since that storm. Supposed to be in the mid 80's this weekend.

By the way, Some of you have seen this view in Scotty's thread, Views from my front porch. Terry

Hi George,

I have been moving snow all day also. I am house sitting in west monroe down in toad harbor for my uncle that is in florida. He has an older case international compact with a front blade on the loader that angles. It works well for what it is but I still wouldnt mine having my tractor with the cab.
I dont have a camera with me so I could take any pictures. I have a couple older picture of the tractor I am using.

Hey Eric,
Toad Harbor isn't too far from me. I'm on the other side of C. Square just off 49 about 6 miles away. I usually stop at my buddies garage in WM once a week on Pinnacle Rd. Nothing wrong with that tractor as long as she runs and pushes snow. I shouldn't say it but I think the snow finally died down a little. I've only had about 5" since 3pm. About ready to hit the sack now so maybe it wont be so bad tomorrow morning.

Here's a pic of my wife enjoying the snow during her first winter here (last year) and then one of her learning to drive the Kubota. I don't think she'll be ready to plow by this winter though...too bad. Maybe next year, LOL

Oh look, a snow bunny

Earle,

The video looked great and good narration too! What part of Northern Maine are you in? Dyer, retired - raised in Caribou

Dyer,
We are right at the foot of East Grand Lake in Brookton . [Just below Danforth?]
We got about 2ft last nite and with drifting it was up to my chest in some of the driveways.............. med heavy so not as bad as it could have been.
I posted this cause lots of guys on youtube wanted to see the new "cab"
I couldnt justify a $6000 cab when my buddy just bought a 2000 F250 with an 8 1/2' Fisher on it for $5K ...............
They are nice but I would rather have a Martin guitar and a boat and motor or anything I am going to spend a heck of a lot more time with than a $1500 cab that costs five thousand dollars?????? :D
e

O.k., know right where you are....nice area. We got about 18" here, but it was sticky, heavy snow and miserable to move. The wind picked up this afternoon and is cooling things down. The cab is very nice, but I wouldn't be able to fit the tractor in the garage with a cab mounted. I wish I had one, as everywhere I point the snowblower chute, the wind brings the snow right back into my face!:D I end up wearing a hood, goggles, scarf, and getting soaking wet about every two hours from all the snow landing on me.
