Snow Motor

I wonder how they made it turn?

I wonder how hard it would be to make the rear drive unit?

it was probably replaced by the skid steer with tracks. i can see it getting pretty hot due to friction with lots of wear on the drums when the snow/ice lube melts and is replaced by dry land. i guess it was designed to be removed and the axles and wheels put back on during the non winter months. neat idea, though!

Glad it was re-posted, never saw it before and it's a great concept. Surprised something like that isn't around for snow use. (It's obviously a dedicated snow machine like a snowmobile). I don't think even a tracked skidsteer would fair well in 4 feet of loose snow!

Oh sure you guys with the Limousines of tractors would have stereos and all of that stuff plowing snow with that thing.. That video was certainly before ROPS and seatbelts.. OSHA would have a picnic writing up the hazards on that machine..
Still it was cool to see.
