Snapper LT1833 Hydro Transmission Service

The transmission on my Snapper LT1833 Hyrdo (Purchased New 2005) is growling pretty seriously. I am unable to locate any information on servicing the Hydro Transmission. Can the Hydro oil be drained and replaced? If so, what oil is used? Also, is there a service manual available to purchase on line? Thank You.
